Meet the Founder
Amy Rose (formerly Amy Thieringer) is CEO and Founder of A.R.T. Allergy Release Technique®. She is a board-certified Nutrition and Health Coach who created this holistic approach to treat food allergies. Over the last twenty plus years, Amy has worked with 1000+ people to conquer their seemingly incurable food allergies—giving them hope where traditional medicine gives up.
The Journal of Alternative and Integrative Medicine published a collaborative pilot study conducted with Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston University. The study clinically validates the transformative results of the A.R.T. process.
Amy is featured in a book written by Susannah Meadows, The Other Side of Impossible, featuring stories of people and their families who faced daunting medical challenges.
Amy was also published in The Oprah Magazine, The New York Times, and Wellesley Weston Magazine.
Amy has been interviewed by ChedHer, CBS News, Sirusxm @justjennyhutt, Food for Thought with Jenny Johnson, Kids Eating Broccoli and I am Healthy I am Fit Podcasts.
How A.R.T. Works
Identify Toxins & Stressors
The process begins with a 90-minute initial visit.
After a general health history assessment, we use an FDA-approved, non-invasive radio-frequency device to identify the toxins and other stressors that are overloading the immune system.
This information allows us to determine the best approach for strengthening the person's immune system, so allergic responses to foods or other benign substances can be neutralized.
Since 70% of the immune system is located in the gut, we address gut health as well.
Strengthen the Immune System
The process requires weekly in-person 30 minute visits where we continue to strengthen the immune system.
At these visits, we also evaluate the immune response to 8 trigger allergens: mold, dust, chemicals, sugars, additives, EMFs, animals, and miscellaneous inhalants.
We then perform a non-invasive sensitivity screening for over 200 foods, which enables us to identify and address any underlying sensitivities that are contributing to the immune system's overload.
Alleviate
the Fear
We use mind-body techniques and positive psychology tools to alleviate the fear of another allergic reaction.
This is especially important for individuals who have experienced the trauma of an anaphylactic reaction.
Just the thought of eating, or even coming into contact with, the food can set off a severe anxiety response, which triggers the same mechanism in the brain as an allergy response.
Reintroduce the Allergen
Once we strengthen the immune system and calm the anxiety response, we can slowly and safely reintroduce foods or resolve other immune conditions.
Ultimately, the individual will graduate the program with complete food freedom so that they can eat freely and live fully.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does A.R.T. work for people with multiple severe and complex food allergies?
Since A.R.T. was created 20 years ago, thousands of people with mild-to-severe food allergies, including people with multiple, life-threatening allergies, have graduated from the A.R.T. process, and successful A.R.T. "alumni" still can eat all foods freely.
Can any other conditions benefit from the A.R.T. treatment approach?
Although A.R.T. was originally developed to treat severe food allergies, it can also improve other immune conditions and sensitivities, such as:
Chronic Lyme disease
PANDAS: Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections
Asthma
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Eczema
Lactose intolerance
Chemical sensitivities
Animal allergies
Environmental allergies
OAS: Oral Allergy Syndrome
How is A.R.T. different from Oral Immunotherapy (OIT)?
A.R.T. is extremely successful in treating clients with multiple, anaphylactic allergies because A.R.T. addresses the overactive immune system, which is the root cause of the allergy. Once the immune system is functioning properly, foods are safely and gradually introduced. Ultimately, A.R.T. allows clients to eat freely, integrating foods into their diets without limitation and without any daily dosing requirements.
What is the most important factor in achieving a successful outcome with A.R.T.?
A successful outcome with A.R.T. relies on attending weekly 30-minute appointments and adhering strictly to the A.R.T. process and protocols consistently until the treatment has been completed.
How much does A.R.T. cost?
A.R.T. requires a financial investment that is not covered by medical insurance. The total cost will depend on the complexity of the allergies and the response to the treatment, which will determine the length of time needed to complete the process. If you are ready to commit the time and effort to the A.R.T. process, please send us an email at info@allergyart.com or send us a DM on Instagram or Facebook to discuss your allergies and/or other health conditions and acquire information about cost.
Do you only treat kids at A.R.T.?
No! We have clients of all ages. The youngest age that we typically start seeing clients at is two years old. We treat toddlers, children, teenagers, and adults of all ages.
